Gabor Draskoczy, the head of new making here at Florian Leonard Fine Violins, has won double gold at the Violin Society of America’s 22nd International Competition.
Gabor’s copy of a Golden Period Stradivarius, stood out amongst a record number of instruments submitted this year, winning gold medals for workmanship and tone.
“We are incredibly proud of Gabor and his accomplishments,” said Jonathan Solars, managing director of Florian Leonhard Fine Violins, New York.
