After a succesfull fund raising concert kindly hosted by Florian Leonhard , the IOF is holding its first inaugural Public concert on Friday the 25th June 2010 at 7:30pm at the sumptuous hall of St John’s Smith Square, London.

This event will be hosted by Lord Winston. The International Orchestra for Freedom is a pioneering new ensemble of extraordinary musical talent, dedicated to bring about change in the world.

Its musicians, all professionals under the age of thirty, have come together from across the globe to speak out through their art against one of the most heinous crimes imaginable:  Human Trafficking.

Having gathered the support of some of the world’s most powerful NGOs such as Stop the Traffik, the International Justice Mission and Amnesty International, the International Orchestra for Freedom is on its way to reaching its ultimate goal: to travel the world, uniting people, international corporations, world leaders and inspiring them, through the power of music, to act together to eradicate human trafficking.

Such a feat is only possible through true artistic accomplishment. The International Orchestra for Freedom is noted for its unequalled vivacity, passion and freedom of expression thanks to the incredible talent and commitment of every single one of its musicians.

For its debut, the IOF has chosen to perform a very powerful and much loved programme: Tchaikovsky’s concerto no 1 with rising star Alexandra Dariescu and Beethoven’s symphony no 5. It promises to be a landmark event, both musically and beyond.
