Fight for Sight fund raising concert
Florian Leonhard had the pleasure of hosting a fund raising concert for Fight for Sight last Thursday (3rd March 2011)
Sonatas by Mozart and Elgar were beautifully performed by Michael Cwizewicz (violin) with John Paul Ekins (piano).
Frost Professor of Ophthalmology and chairman of the Academic Department of Ophthalmology at St. Thomas’ Hospital, Professor John Marshall presented Fight for Sight’s achievements, including 48,000 transplants and saving the sight of thousands of premature babies.
At the same time Fight for Sight have awarded new research grants totalling £2.6 million.Florian Leonhard is happy to support the important work of this organization and would like to thank the musicians, Fight for Sight members and all the guests who took part in this very successful evening.
