A charity concert in aid of the Sendai Earthquake and Tsunami

"...we come together in the hope of supporting those who have suffered from the impact of the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in Sendai. We pray for those who have lost their lives, and for those who are struggling to overcome numerous challenges. As musicians, we would like to express our support through music..."

These were the words chosen by students and Fellows from the Royal Academy of Music in the programme for their successful fund raising concert which took place on April 4, at Florian Leonhard's in London.

Due to an overwhelming response special arrangements had to be made in order to accommodate the 80 guests - almost double our usual house concert capacity! Florian Leonhard commented on a wonderful evening of music, and "the unparalleled integrity of all those who contributed in this concert, which is living proof of the solidarity we feel towards our fellow man"

We would like to thank everyone for their generosity and support (over £2000 was raised at the concert) and of course the musicians and Fellows of the Royal Academy who participated.
