Excerpts from Bach's Goldberg variations as an introduction, arranged by Dmitri Sitkovetsky for String Trio and performed by Julian Rachlin (violin), Nobuko Imai (viola), and Mischa Maisky (cello). Florian Leonhard talks about old italian instruments and their secrets, the importance of valuation, and he presents with him in the studio a rare 1718 Antonio Stradivari along with a 1761 Nicolo Gagliano. Hong Kong based violinist Andrea Zanchetta plays them and gives the musician's point of view.
